Christmas tree with Jasper & Bella

 Good morning everyone!

This is inspired by summer learning journey. Me and my buddys were working on thisd christmas tree and we think it looks amazing Jasper and Bella were the ones that wanted it to look like this  ANd they love it so much thgat the got to excited and wanted it to be like there house, :)

Camp Recount :)

good morning everyone :)

About three or two weeks ago Ruru went to living springs camp and here is my recount hope you enjoy!

My camp recount 

I wake up excitedly ready for camp i wake my mum up and get into my clothes then we start heading to school. We wait outside as we wait for the bus to arrive we all scatter around Ruru and school we all take photos and walk around looking for our friends. As me and my friends rage with excitement. Then ms lee call us in we all sit down with butterflies floating in our tummies. Ms Lee starts talking about the trip to living springs. Then we go out in different year groups to get our day pack. We all talk among ourselves until the bus gets here. As soon as the bus arrives we all got excited. We get on our busses from our tribes. Tribe 1 and 2 get on the first bus and tribe 3 and 4 get on the second bus. Me and jaydah are talking about how the cabins look.

 When we get to the park near lyttelton school I think we all sit down for some morning tea. All of Ruru is now springing with excitement. Most of the boys are playing in the skate park thing to me it looks boring but at least there not running around like crazy kids. Then we get into our tribes 2 tribes in each line. But then the instructors tell us were going on a little walk to living springs. At first i thought it would be alright but they LIED it was humongous but the view on the way to living springs was charming and the hills you have to walk up were graceful but it hurt ALOT but we got there and the view of the ocean was amazing.

 Then we get into our cabins and sort things out like our beds the orginazinzing and all that then we did loads of activities. And we did swimming at 7:00 at night but it was fun. The auction was later that night and the performances were extraordinary and i love them. Bye the time that was done it was around 8:10 or something. Now its bedtime we all talk for a little bit then eventually fall asleep. 

The next morning Karaitiana woke me up at 6 in the morning and i was so tired so I decided to take a shower to wake me up. When i get out all the girls are running around. But then the teachers call us for breakfast. Skip forward to our activities we go down to dons shed and start our activities. Then it was morning tea time morning tea was the usual pineapple , water melon and a piece of cake like carrot cake or something. Once we finished our day at the end of the day we have dinner. Then we go to bed after watching a movie. We talk then fall asleep the next day we pack up and leave. We bus down past all the sites past amberly and we make it to school. We are all grumpy asnd tired but we all are excited were home

Camp Reading Blog 19/10/21

 Hello fellow student/teacher/parent welcome back to term 4:)

this week in Ruru were doing a camp tasks. and the task are 1 we have to read books about camp at school and it talks about what sime of the rules are on there camp etc then task 2 is you design a sign for your bunk room and create task 3 is making 10 facts about what you read on department of consevation

Anne Frank :) T2 W10

 Hey bloggers as you can see by the title that I'm reading Anne Frank this book is about WW2 and how 

Anne Frank escaped but soon got found and went to concentration Camp but anyway Anne

Frank and her family are afraid in there own home so they moved to Holland

To get away from the Nazis so they did but after a while the Nazis came to

Holland so Anne frank and her family went into hiding they found this attic and

soon after Anne Frank died of a disease called typhus

 Hello Everyone. today we did Cyber smart and we learnt whats Private or Personal information and if you

 could post it on your blog.  so we had some photos of like email home Adress etc. and you had to put them

 in a private or public space so we did that and we learnt how keep it public or private.

I rate this Cybersmart lesson a 5/5 it was awesome to learn about and now i can keep safe :)

Inquiry W9 T2

 Hey bloggers this week i have to blog what i have worked on in inquiry and its been awesome learning about avalanches and music it was hard to do the Body Percussions but I've learnt how to now but here is my information report on avalanches. 

Information report on AVALANCHES

types of avalanches 
Loose snow  this snow can not form an avalanche unless it was moving really

fast but it's common.

Slab avalanches This snow can come at any minute and it will move very fast.

Power snow avalanche this snow is very stiff and it will hurt if u get caught in it

. Wet snow this snow is watery and u can get out very fast 

How do avalanches occur   
Earthquakes can shake the snow mountain .

-Thunder storms can make tree snow come out.

Wind can push the snow into an avalanche

.Snow can start rolling then make a big ball.

Trees they can fall down and make the snow roll down into the avalanches 

Fun facts 
Avalanches can kill a human.

Avalanches can be stopped by trees or naturally.

Sometimes avalanches can be made from low ground and will make it big.

Sometimes avalanches can speed upto 300mph and if you run from it it will catch you

eventually

Albert Einstein W9 T2

 Hello readers this week I'm reading about Albert Einstein It tells me about his life story and how he became a scientist and were he grew up. He is now 79. He grew up in Germany and he was very smart when he was young he is very old and wrinkly now and the book tells you about what he did to be a scientist and the glossary has all the the things about him and were he grew up.

Create task 1 is what the book is and the main text and complementary text

Create task 2 is a fact file and you hade to write the facts about the person you picked i picked Albert Einstein so here a some facts about him.

Create task 3 is make a poster about how the person you picked is a inspiration and i made a poster about Albert Einstein

 Hey bloggers this week i watched You are special its about a wood human called punchenella and he gets a dark dot that means your not special like other wemiks and he goes to eli for help and he said only worry about what i think not other wemiks so e did and as he walked out of elis house a dot fell of his body

Cyclone tokotoru 18/5/21 W3

 Hello Readers 
This week is we work on some weather issues and i choose cyclone tokotoru (trio) and it's about a cyclone that didn't happen and they travel down to there grandmas house down in the country but they think its coming but its not and when they arrived there was red sky witch kuia says "Red sky at night shepherd's delight" but the oldest say's the cyclone is not coming. and its not

Anzac day :)

Hello fellow readers! This week we had to do our create tasks about ANZAC day! We had 5 create tasks to choose from  but we only had to at least complete 3 by the end of the week! I loved doing this and I hope we get good create tasks next term! (today is the last day of term 1!) I hope you have an amazing holiday and I hope you like my working! What do you like most about my work and why?

24/4/21 create task

 Hi Ruru today im here with Skye & Georgie this week we have been working on the day the crayons quit

this is the create task five it is the best create task ive had.  this is about a daily object that you write about cause they were quiting and your trying to make it not quit but here it is i guess hope you like it :)

Then this is create task 1 it is cool but it is really cringy. so its about writing a letter to a crayon and trynna solve there problem like with orange and yellow (i did that) they have got the most problematic life like actully. but i wrote a letter to them saying this Create task 1 hope you like it.

Next we had to make a crayon suit for beige crayon this is bye my buddies and they did a amazing job Thank you Skye and Georgie

Ruru reading create task 5/3/21

Hi guys so this week in Ruru we have been learning about space. in our reading groups we have choosen a book i choose space food because i love food and wanted to learn about what they eat in space. so i have done a poster that has 20 yes 20 facts about what we read in the book so here is my poster 

 As you can see my poster has 20 facts but there all in paragraphs.

This week i loved reading about space food because now i know if New Zealand ever launches again i'll know what food they bring and don't bring it says in the poster to check the date on the food they should not only do that on the rocket ship we should also do it on earth because you could get sick. but that's it for me today Goodbye have a great week or weekend!

Ruru Create task 17/02/21

What i am doing is What makes a good friend? and i made a animation So in this video A friend to Gemma is helping Cody with his illness ( Color blind ) And we had to create a template of the character of the story And here is the template the template is about the story like what does the character look like and what  is there personality so i have filled it all in. but the video up there is about the story and if you watch it you will understand. How would i be a good friend: i wold be loyal respect them and be nice to them when they are in a bad situation and would help of there in need of care that is my focus for being a good friend
